Viola Performance Majors Challenge!

This week Justin and Hannah took on Abby and Jane in what was perhaps our most EPIC CHALLENGE TO DATE - THE BATTLE OF THE VIOLISTS! Much fun was had amid some confusing microphone issues (leading to a mini DJ set from 3:50-14:20 which you are welcome to skip over) and a severe lack of Bree, resident mathematician and interviewer (leading to some embarrassing arithmetic and frazzled interview questions by Cherise).

This week roommates Jake & Rosetta battled Shannon & Shira in the double-roommate face-off blow-up extravaganza! It was great. Just thinking about it makes us smile.

Saturated Facts: Admissions Challenge

This week Aries and Chris from the Admissions Office competed against each other in one of the bloodiest, baddest co-employee battles we've seen to date! We won't spoil the surprise and tell you who won (it was a close game) but we can reveal that the winner did make off with an extremely rare fish.

Congrats to all! Stay tuned for next week's Thrown-Together-Last-Minute-Challenge Challenge!

Tragedy strikes Saturated Facts

Hello Saturated Facts followers!

As you may have noticed, last week's challenge (The First Year Dorms challenge!) was never podcasted, or even commented upon in our bloggy medium. Let us assure you that this upset no one more greatly than it did us, your faithful Saturated Facters. Here's what happened, basically:

We were on our journey home from the First Year Challenge, minding our own business, when suddenly we happened upon a river. We had not anticipated a river on our way home so we had left all our caulk in the other wagon - plus we remembered that the last time we tried to caulk the wagon and float it, minorly disastrous events had occurred. So this time we waited around for a ferry to take us across, not realizing how expensive the ferry fee would be. We just don't make that kind of money doing a once-weekly trivia game show on WOBC, and what little money we do have we invest in our fabulous prizes. Long story short, we forded the river, the wagon overturned, several members of our party died, and so did Katie's hard drive.

Bummer. But stay tuned, kiddos - the newest Saturated Facts episode should be up soon!

Saturated Facts: Couples Challenge

Today, Miriam Grossman and Anjali Chaudhry took on Matt Lubovic (flown in all the way from California!) and our very own Bree Cahill in the ULTIMATE COUPLES CHALLENGE. There was some laughter, some tears, some shameless plugs for the B52's cover band, and, as always, bucketloads of sweet, sweet trivia. Saturated Facts: Rugby Challenge

This Saturday we saw another epic head-to-head trivia battle, this time between the men's and women's rugby teams! Women's rugby was represented by Julia Chauvin and Sarah Schrag, and men's rugby was represented by Dharam Khalsa and Ben Sandberg. The game was a close one, with the men finally pulling ahead using skillful wagering in the final round and claiming the fine equine prize.

Tragically, on our way over to the radio station that fateful morning, as we attempted to caulk the wagon and float it across the river (never a good idea!), we lost several belongings and among them was the recording software that would have made it possible to podcast the show. Our sincerest regrets go out to all our loyal podcast followers who were hoping to listen after it aired. Don't fret, though - podcasts will return starting next week! See you then, trivia enthusiasts!
